Epistles included in the New Testament Apocrypha. They were written in Latin around 390. Of the 14 in total, eight were written by Seneca and six by Paul, but the last two are thought to be later additions. The main interest of these letters is in rhetoric rather than Christianity, and it is said that Paul's writing style should be refined. In ancient times, their authenticity was not doubted, but today many people doubt it. [Kawamura Terunori] Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
