Yutaka Aso
1898-1961 A manga artist from the Taisho and Showa periods.
Born on August 9, 1898. Studied under Kitazawa Rakuten. Became a reporter for the Hochi Shimbun in 1922, and began serializing the four-panel family cartoon Nonkina Tousan in 1923, which gained him popularity. Other serials in the newspaper included His Excellency Baby and Tadano Ordinary Child. Died on September 12, 1961. Age 63. Born in Oita Prefecture. Dropped out of technical school.

明治31年8月9日生まれ。北沢楽天に師事。大正11年「報知新聞」記者となり,12年から4コマ家庭漫画「ノンキナトウサン」を連載,人気をえる。新聞連載はほかに「赤ちゃん閣下」「只野(ただの)凡児」など。昭和36年9月12日死去。63歳。大分県出身。工手学校中退。
