...It can be done not only in mosques, but also in any place other than unclean places such as cemeteries and slaughterhouses, but as a rule, the congregational prayer ṣalāt al‐jum'a every Friday at noon is performed at Masjid al‐Jami under the guidance of an imam, and a khutba (sermon) is given before the prayer. In Persian, prayer is called namaz. There are two types of charity: zakat and sadaqah. The former is a kind of tax levied on the property owned by Muslims as an obligation under Islamic law, and is used to relieve and assist the poor, while the latter refers to voluntary charity in response to this.
