Shinzaburo Asai

...A feudal lord in the Sengoku period. Commonly known as Shinzaburo and Bizen no Kami. He was adopted by his kin Naomasa and inherited the head family. He was a subordinate of the provincial governor Kyogoku clan, but gradually gained real power in the civil war that began in 1523 (Oei 3) with the Kyogoku clan's succession issue, and eventually overwhelmed his lord and other local lords, establishing himself as the lord of Kohoku in Odani Castle. After 1525, he was defeated by the Rokkaku clan three times, but maintained a good relationship with the Asakura clan. His posthumous name was Kyugai Munego. [Hosomizo Norihiko]...
