[Noun] A type of Noh mask. An old man's mask with a strong, frightening expression and hair transplanted. It is often used for nochijite such as old gods, great people, and vengeful spirits. There are various types such as Daiakujo, Washibana Akujo , Hanakobu Akujo, Myoga Akujo, Ginger Akujo , and Besimi . It is used for Naniwa, Shirahige, Tamai, and Ayanotsuzumi . 〘名〙 能面の一つ。強く恐ろしげな表情の老人の面で植毛がある。多くは、老神、偉人、怨霊などのノチジテに用いる。大悪尉、鷲鼻(わしばな)悪尉、鼻瘤(はなこぶ)悪尉、茗荷(みょうが)悪尉、生薑(しょうが)悪尉、癋見(べしみ)などの種類がある。「難波(なにわ)」「白鬚(しらひげ)」「玉井」「綾鼓(あやのつづみ)」などに用いる。
