HNO ₂ (47.01). Pure liquids and solids are not available. The gas is

is in equilibrium with the hydrogen atom. Dilute aqueous solutions are relatively stable. It is produced by the reaction of silver nitrite with hydrochloric acid, or barium nitrite with sulfuric acid. _HNO2 gas molecules have a HONO structure. ∠HON and ∠ONO are 102° and 111°, respectively, and both cis and trans forms exist, but the trans form is more stable. The aqueous solution is weakly acidic (p K _a 3.3 (291 K)) and decomposes slowly.

3HNO ₂ → HNO ₃ + H ₂ O + 2NO

Alkali metal, alkaline earth metal and ammonium salts are available, but not aluminum salts. Forms stable esters with alcohols. Certain alkyl esters are used medicinally as vasodilators. [CAS 7782-77-6]

の平衡状態にある．希薄な水溶液は比較的安定である．亜硝酸銀と塩酸，または亜硝酸バリウムと硫酸との反応によってつくられる．HNO₂気体分子は，H-O-N-O型構造．∠H-O-N，∠O-N-Oは，各102°と111°で，シス，トランス両形があるが，トランス形のほうがより安定である．水溶液は弱酸性(pK_a 3.3(291 K))で徐々に分解する．

アルカリ金属，アルカリ土類金属およびアンモニウムの塩は得られるが，アルミニウムの塩は得られない．アルコールと安定なエステルをつくる．ある種のアルキルエステルは血管拡張剤として医薬品に用いられる．[CAS 7782-77-6]
