For example, Auer bodies, which can be seen in acute myeloid leukemia, are granules present in normal myeloid leukocytes that have been deformed into rod-like shapes, and when these bodies are seen, it is easy to tell that they are myeloid leukemia leukocytes. In addition, a major characteristic of adult T-lymphocytic leukemia, a type of acute lymphocytic leukemia, is that the nuclear shape of the leukemia leukocytes is severely deformed, becoming clover-shaped or glove-like. …
