Chuvashskaya Respublika-Chavash, a republic in the Russian Federation. In the former Soviet Union, it was part of the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic within the Russian Republic. It is located west of the Ural Mountains, on the right bank of the middle Volga River. It has an area of 18,300 km2 and a population of 1,346,000 (1993). Its capital is Cheboksary. In the northeastern part of the left bank of the Volga, the Chuvash Plateau (175-227 m above sea level) forms many gorges, and on the right bank is a low plain (50-70 m above sea level).

ロシア連邦のなかのチュバシ共和国(チャバシュ)Chuvashskaya Respublika―Chavash。旧ソ連邦では，ロシア共和国内のチュバシ自治ソビエト社会主義共和国を構成していた。ウラル山脈の西方，ボルガ川中流右岸に位置する。面積1万8300km2，人口134万6000(1993)。首都チェボクサリ。ボルガ左岸の北東部ではチュバシ台地(標高175～227m)が多くの峡谷をつくり，右岸には低い平原(標高50～70m)が広がっている。
