…The plumage of the bird is generally a blend of green, gray-brown, or olive brown, and the sexes are usually the same color. However, in the Myzomela genus, the sexes are somewhat different in color, with males having bright red feathers on the head, neck, and lower back. Some species of the honeyeater have blended plumage, but they also have well-developed ornamental feathers, wattles, and a helmet-like protuberance on the forehead.
