A Japanese TV drama. It was broadcast on the NET TV (now TV Asahi) network (October 1973 to March 1974). It is a period drama with the main character being Saotome Mondosuke, a direct retainer of the shogunate who has a crescent-shaped scar on his forehead. Original story by Sasaki Mitsuzo. Starring Ichikawa Utaemon, Takeshita Keiko, Sano Asao and others. Ichikawa, who played Mondosuke in the film version (1930 to 1963), appeared in the same role, which attracted attention.

Starring Kitaoji Kinya, Yazaki Shigeru, Sato Yuki and others. Kitaoji Kinya plays the role of Saotome Suinosuke, which was once played by his father, Ichikawa Utaemon.
