A law issued by the Muromachi Shogunate, feudal lords, shrines and temples during the Muromachi and Sengoku periods that prohibited the circulation of bad coins, especially low-quality coins, and prohibited the selection of selected coins for other coins. It is also called "sensenrei" or "seisen (refined coin)rei." As the economy developed during the Muromachi and Sengoku periods and the circulation of currency flourished, there was a shortage of imported Chinese coins, and privately minted coins were mass-minted, causing problems due to the selection of selected coins in loan shark businesses, commercial transactions, and the payment of taxes and counter-coins.
