...This trend was continued by Francisco Guerrero (1528-99), a student of Morales, and by Victoria de TL. Meanwhile, secular songs, which followed the style of the "Royal Songs", showed further development, and many collections with a unique national flavor were compiled, including those by Juan Vázquez (c. 1500-60), a representative contemporary. There was also a remarkable rise in instrumental music, and the blind organist Antonio de Cabezón (1510-66) left behind works so advanced in form and spirit that later scholars called him the "Spanish Bach."
