Mumler, W.

...A photograph that shows an image that is not normally conceivable. It is said that the first photograph was taken in 1861 by the American William Mumler, who accidentally captured the image of a dead relative. A closely related phenomenon is thoughtography, discovered by Yukichi Fukurai in 1910.
