A god of great strength in Japanese mythology. Also known as Ame-no-Tajikarao-no-Mikoto. When Amaterasu Omikami hid in a cave in heaven, he opened the cave, took her hand and pulled her out. He is said to have accompanied the descent of the heavenly grandson and stayed in Sana in Ise. He is the main deity of Togakushi Shrine in Nagano Prefecture.
