Plutarch

…Greek philosopher and biographer active during the Roman period. English name Plutarch. Born to a noble family in Chaeronea in the Boeotian region of Greece, he studied in Athens, traveled to Egypt and Asia Minor, and then taught philosophy in Rome, where he also educated the future emperor Hadrian.
