(English name: polyanthus (primrose)) is a horticulturally cultivated species that was crossed with species of the genus Primula native to Europe, such as P. veris , P. elatior , and P. vulgaris . It has obovate leaves that grow from the roots, and in early spring it produces scattered, somewhat large flowers, 2-8 cm in diameter, on flower stalks 10-15 cm tall.
