Sarugaku Noh performed at Tanzan Shrine in Tonomine, Nara Prefecture (formerly called Tannomine). Tanzan Shrine is a name that was used after the Meiji period, but in the past, Shinto and Buddhism were mixed and the temple and shrine were often simply called Tonomine, including Myoraku-ji Temple. Zeami's Sarugaku Dangi and Konparu Zenchiku's Enmai Za Kaboshi and Meishuku Shu state that the four Yamato Sarugaku troupes were required to attend Tonomine, and Sarugaku was performed on the 13th and 14th in conjunction with the Yuima Hakko Kai, which is held every year from October 10th to 16th, and was called Hakko Sarugaku. 奈良県多武峰(古くは〈たんのみね〉)の談山神社に勤仕した猿楽能。談山神社は明治以降の名で,古くは神仏混交で妙楽寺と寺社総合して単に多武峰と呼ばれることが多かった。世阿弥の《申楽談儀(さるがくだんぎ)》,金春(こんぱる)禅竹の《円満井(えんまい)座壁書》《明宿(めいしゆく)集》には,多武峰参勤が大和猿楽四座の義務であったことが述べられており,例年10月10日から16日まで催される維摩(ゆいま)八講会に付随して,13,14日に猿楽が演じられ,八講猿楽と呼ばれた。
