The largest lake in the Balkans, stretching across the border between Macedonia and Albania. It is 695m above sea level, 285m deep at its deepest, and has an area of ​​348km2 (1/4 of which is in Albania). The water is clear and there are many fish, making fishing a thriving industry, and passenger ships also operate here.
