Born in the first year of the Eiroku era. He sided with Tokugawa Ieyasu in the Battle of Sekigahara and became the magistrate of Mino (Gifu Prefecture). During the Siege of Osaka, he distinguished himself as the magistrate of military equipment and was promoted to the magistrate of Yamada. In the sixth year of the Kan'ei era, he became the magistrate of the construction of Ise Shrine. He passed away on May 29, in the eighth year of the Kan'ei era. He was 74 years old.
