Mauve - Mauve (English spelling)

It is also called mauve or aniline purple. It was the first synthetic dye discovered in 1856 by the British W. H. Perkin while researching the oxidation of impure aniline to synthesize quinine. It was marketed as mauve in 1857. Its name comes from the color of mallow flowers, and the French word mauve is used to name it mauve (or mauve). It dyes silk a beautiful purple, but it disappeared from the market in a short time due to its low solubility and poor lightfastness. It is an azine-based basic dye, not a single component, but with N -phenylphenosafranine as the main component.

モーベインあるいはアニリンパープルともいう。1856年、キニン合成を目的とした不純なアニリンの酸化の研究途上、イギリスのW・H・パーキンによって発見された最初の合成染料。1857年にモーブとして市販された。名称はゼニアオイの花色に由来し、そのフランス語のmauveからモーブ（またはモーベイン）と名づけられた。美しい紫色に絹を染色するが、溶解性の低いことと、耐光堅牢(けんろう)度の低いことから、短期間で市場から姿を消した。単一な成分でなく、N-フェニルフェノサフラニンを主成分とするアジン系塩基性染料である。
