Sanzinia

...A general term for non-venomous snakes in the Boinae subfamily, a group closely related to pythons (Boidae). Approximately 25 species are known in 8 genera, and most are found in North and South America, but two species of the Acrantophis genus and one species of the Sanzinia genus are found in Madagascar, and three species of the Candoia genus are found in New Guinea and the islands of the South Pacific. The largest is the anaconda Eunectes murinus (illustration), found in the Amazon basin, which can reach a maximum length of over 9m. ...
