Saga
[1][一] A place name in Ukyo Ward, Kyoto City. The area is located in the northwest of the Kyoto Basin, on the north bank of the Hozu River, and is divided into Kamisaga and Shimosaga. It has been used as a hunting ground since the Heian period, and after Emperor Saga's villa was built there, it became a villa for aristocrats. It is rich in scenic places and historical sites, including Tenryu-ji Temple, Seiryo-ji Temple, and Daikaku-ji Temple. (2)秋に結びつけて、「女郎花」「花薄」「萩」などの植物や、「露」「鹿」とともに詠まれた。
