A town in Nomi County in the southern part of Ishikawa Prefecture. It occupies the alluvial fan of the Tedori River and borders Matto City (now Hakusan City). Rice is the main crop, but in recent years melons, figs, and shiitake mushrooms have also been cultivated. Area: 14.64 km2. Population: 6,147 (2010).
