A passenger ship built in 1936 by the British Cunard Steamship Company for the North Atlantic route. It is 311m long, 36.2m wide, and has a gross tonnage of 81,235 tons. It is powered by a steam turbine with 160,000 horsepower and a speed of 29 knots. It can accommodate approximately 2,140 passengers. In 1938, it set blue ribbon records with an average speed of 31.69 knots in the eastbound direction and 30.99 knots in the westbound direction, which it held until it was broken by the American United States in 1952. During World War II, it was used as a troop transport, and in 1947 it resumed service as a passenger ship between Southampton and New York, but was sold to the United States in 1967 and is currently used as a floating hotel and museum in Long Beach.
