Ottawa Accord
A preferential tariff agreement within the British Commonwealth of Nations to deal with the Great Depression. It was agreed upon at the Economic Conference of the Commonwealth of Nations (Ottawa Conference) held in Ottawa in 1932. This led to the establishment of an economic bloc of Commonwealth countries, which became one of the factors that led to the formation of a world economic bloc. →Bloc economy
