Transceiver (English)

A portable radio communication device in which the transmitter and receiver are integrated. Generally, the same frequency is used by switching between transmission and reception. 2. A device that relays electrical signals between a computer and a network cable such as a LAN. Its role is to convert signals within the computer into signals suitable for the network cable and to detect collisions that occur during signal exchange.
