〘名〙① 屏風などに書画を貼りつけたもの。また、いろいろな形を厚紙で作り、中に綿をつけて高低をつけ、美しい色の布でつつみ、板、厚紙などに張りつけた絵。羽子板、壁掛、小箱のふた等に使う。※玉塵抄（1563）一八「もと屏風のおし画にあるをみたぞ」② 型紙にいろいろな絵模様を切り抜き、刷毛で摺(す)り込んで描いた絵。押付絵、押型絵の一種で古くから行なわれた。形絵。摺込絵。
