...The number of moltings varies depending on the environment. There are over 15,000 species of Tenebrionidae known from around the world, and over 200 species known from Japan. The name Tenebrionidae comes from the fact that the adult beetles resemble the ground beetles in shape and color, but in fact they resemble the adults of many other families.
