An area in the northeastern part of Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture. Oho Town, which was incorporated as a town in 1953 (Showa 28), merged with the two towns of Yatabe and Toyosato in Tsukuba County and Sakura Village in Niihari County in 1987 to become a city, Tsukuba City. The Tsukuba City Hall Oho Service Center is located in Tsukuho. It forms the northern part of the Tsukuba Plateau and has many flatland forests. A bus runs from Tsukuba Station on the Tsukuba Express. The area is mainly cultivated with rice and wheat, and also produces firewood and charcoal. It grows broom corn and produces zashiki brooms.
