Thai politician. Born into the royal family. After World War II, he entered politics and founded Thailand's first political party, the Progressive Party. As a journalist, he also criticized military rule. After the collapse of the military junta (1973), he served as prime minister from 1975 to 1976, and despite his short tenure, he led the country into an era of democratization.
