Thai politician. Born into the royal family. After World War II, he entered politics and founded Thailand's first political party, the Progressive Party. As a journalist, he also criticized military rule. After the collapse of the military junta (1973), he served as prime minister from 1975 to 1976, and despite his short tenure, he led the country into an era of democratization. タイの政治家。王族の出身。第２次世界大戦後政界入り，タイで最初の政党〈進歩党〉を組織，新聞人としても軍部政治を批判。軍事政権崩壊（1973年）後，1975年−1976年首相，短命ながらも〈民主化の時代〉を導く。俳優，小説家としても活躍。兄も政治家セーニSeni Pramot 〔1905−1997〕。
