Jibal Lubnan al-Sharqiya (English spelling)

…the mountain range that runs parallel to the Lebanon Mountains along the Mediterranean Sea, across the Bekaa plateau, and forms a natural border with Syria. In Arabic, it is called Jibāl Lubnān al‐Sharqīya. Although it is lower than the Lebanon Mountains, its topography is complex, and in the center it forms a terraced rocky desert of chalky limestone with an average elevation of 2,250 m and a width of 30 km.
