Itneg

The name Tinguian comes from the Malay word tinggi (meaning "mountain") and was first used by the Spaniards as the official name for this tribe. The Tinguian themselves call themselves Itneg (meaning "those from the interior"). They are generally divided into two groups: the Highland Tinguian and the Valley Tinguian.
