A kana zoshi (Japanese folktale). Six volumes and six books. Written by Azai Ryoi. Completed in 1659 (Manji 2). 仮名草子。六巻六冊。浅井了意(りょうい)作。1659年（万治2）成立。諸国を遍歴してきた青道心楽阿弥(らくあみ)が、まず江戸の名所を見物し、その後、連れの男とともに東海道の名所を見物し、気楽な旅を続けながら京に上るという構想のもとに、名所・名物の紹介、道中案内、楽阿弥らの狂歌や発句、滑稽(こっけい)談などを交えて、東海道の旅の実情を啓蒙(けいもう)、紹介した作品。主人公は『竹斎(ちくさい)』の系統にたち、娯楽性をも備えているが、同時に、「道中記」を十分に取り入れ、旅行案内として実用性をもったことが、読者に歓迎される一因となった。
