Ite, missa est (English spelling) Itemissa est

It is the most common name in the Western Church, especially the Catholic Church, and its origin is said to be from the words of the mission, Ite, missa est (meaning "Go, ye are gone"), but it is not certain. The Mass begins with the Liturgy of the Word, which commemorates one of the events in Christ's life through Bible reading, mainly from the Gospels. It is followed by the Liturgy of the Eucharist, which commemorates the complete consecration by death on the cross, which is the center of the work of salvation in his life, according to his will at the Last Supper, and culminates with the Ritual of Communion, in which we share in the Lord's Supper and deepen our communion with God in mutual unity through our encounter with Christ.
