This is the diary of Ooka Tadasuke's time as magistrate of temples and shrines. There are 59 handwritten volumes that are said to have been written by Tadasuke himself, and 115 copies that are said to have been copied by his assistants. They span the years from 1737 to 1751, but some are missing. In addition to articles from his time as magistrate of temples and shrines, there are also many articles related to the positions he held at the time, such as the Hyojosho troupe, the musicians' official, and the Kanto region official. It has been published in three volumes as Ooka Echizen no Kami Nikki, compiled by the Ooka Family Documents Publishing Association. It is thought that there was also a diary from his time as magistrate, but it has not been found.

大岡忠相の寺社奉行時代の日記。忠相自身がしたためたとされる自筆本が59冊，右筆(ゆうひつ)が清書したとされる書写本が115冊ある。1737年から1751年におよぶが，一部を欠く。寺社奉行としての記事のほか，当時彼が兼ねていた評定所(ひょうじょうしょ)一座，奏者番，関東地方御用掛(かんとうじかたごようがかり)などの役職に関連する記事も多い。大岡家文書刊行会編で《大岡越前守日記》全３巻として刊行されている。なお町奉行時代の日記もあったと考えられているが，未発見。
