1164－? A military commander in the late Heian period.
Born in the 2nd year of the Chokan Era. Son of Ashikaga Toshitsuna. In the 4th year of the Jisho Era, he joined the Taira clan and fought in the army to pursue Emperor Mochihito, but his reward was taken away due to a clan conflict. In the 2nd year of the Juei Era, he fought against Oyama Tomomasa, who was on the side of Minamoto no Yoritomo, but was defeated and fled to the west. Born in Shimotsuke (Tochigi Prefecture). Born in Shimotsuke (Tochigi Prefecture). Nicknamed Matataro.

長寛2年生まれ。足利俊綱の子。治承(じしょう)4年平氏に属して以仁王(もちひとおう)追討の軍にくわわり功をたてたが,一族の内紛で恩賞をとりあげられたという。寿永2年源頼朝方の小山朝政(おやま-ともまさ)とたたかって敗れ,西国にのがれた。下野(しもつけ)(栃木県)出身。下野(しもつけ)(栃木県)出身。通称は又太郎。
