[1] (also called "Oedayama") An old name for Oizaka Pass on the border between Nishikyo Ward, Kyoto City and Kameoka City. It is said to be the place where Minamoto no Yorimitsu defeated bandits. Oeda Pass. *Eika (c. 1028-92), Ura-no-betsu, "At a place called Oeyama, the Middle Counselor wrote a letter to the Imperial Court." [2] A mountain on the northern edge of Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto Prefecture, on the border between Kayo Town and Oe Town. It is said that Minamoto no Yorimitsu defeated Shuten-doji here, but this is said to be a misrepresentation of Yorimitsu's defeat of bandits in (1). Elevation 833 meters. Mt. Senjo. *Nido Honkinyo (1124-25), Miscellaneous "Oeyamaikuno's road is so long that I have not yet set foot on Amanohashidate (Koshikibu no Naishi)." [3] Noh play. Fifth piece. Each school. It is said to have been written by either Zeami or Miyamasu . Its ancient name was "Shuten-doji." It is a dramatization of the story of Minamoto no Yorimitsu's slaying of the demons of Mount Oe.

[一] (「大枝山」とも) 京都市西京区と亀岡市の境にある老坂峠の古名。源頼光が山賊を退治した所と伝えられる。大枝峠。※栄花（1028‐92頃）浦々の別「大江山と云所にて、中納言、宮に御文かかせ給」[二] 京都府福知山市の北端、加悦町と大江町の境にある山。源頼光が酒呑童子(しゅてんどうじ)を退治したと伝えられるが、これは(一)の頼光山賊退治が誤り伝えられたものという。標高八三三メートル。千丈ケ岳。※二度本金葉（1124‐25）雑上「大江やまいく野の道の遠ければまだふみも見ず天の橋立〈小式部内侍〉」[三] 謡曲。五番目物。各流。世阿彌作とも宮増(みまし)作ともいう。古名「酒呑童子」。源頼光の大江山の鬼退治を脚色したもの。
