A port village on Rishiri Island in northern Hokkaido. It is the island's main gateway, with ferries running between Wakkanai and Oshidomari. It is the central village of Rishirifuji Town, where the town hall is located, and the trailhead to the island's main peak, Mount Rishiri (1,721m). It is also home to the marine research facility affiliated with Sapporo Medical University.
