It refers to cannabis addiction. The powder made from the amber resin secreted from the inflorescences and upper leaves of mature female plants of Taima is called hashish, but the one taken from the inflorescences of cultivated Taima is called ganja, and the one taken from the inflorescences and leaves of wild Taima is called marijuana (bhang), the latter having a weaker psychoactive effect. In general, these are collectively called cannabis (according to the WHO's unification of the terminology for cannabis in 1961).
