Yoon Se-jung - Inse-ju

North Korean author. He began his creative endeavors in earnest after liberation in 1945. His representative full-length novel, "In the Trials" (1957), depicts the inspiring struggle of steelworkers who will determine the fate of heavy industry after the Korean War, in order to increase production. His short stories include "New and Old" (1952), which depicts the comradeship between a smart but timid recruit and a battle-hardened veteran, and "Red Signal Flare" (1963), a medium-length story aimed at boys and girls.

北朝鮮の作家。1945年の解放後から本格的創作活動を始めた。代表作の長編『試練のなかで』（1957）は、朝鮮戦争後重工業の運命を左右する製鉄所労働者が増産のために感動的な闘いを推し進める姿を描いている。短編では、頭は切れるが小心な新兵と百戦錬磨の古参兵との同志愛を描いた『新隊員と旧隊員』（1952）、少年少女向け中編に『赤い信号弾』（1963）などがある。
