Roundheads

Japanese:
Roundheads
A derogatory term given to the Parliamentarians during the Puritan Revolution in England. It comes from the fact that the upper classes at the time had long hair, while apprentices and craftsmen had their hair cut short. From this name, we can see that the Parliamentarians were made up of people of a lower class than the Royalists. The Royalists were also known as the Knights.
