Corvus corone (English name)

...A general term for birds of the genus Corvus , family Corvidae, order Passeriformes. The birds that Japanese people generally call crows are the carrion crow (Corvus corone) (illustration) and the large-billed crow (C. macrorhynchos ) (illustration), which breed throughout Japan. The carrion crow is distributed throughout most of the Palaearctic region, and breeds in Japan from Kyushu northward.
