Perspectivism

In a painting based on perspective, the landscape depicted is always relative to the painter's viewpoint, and in the same way, the world can only be seen from a specific viewpoint and in a specific way, and there is no such thing as an absolute world view that is not limited to any viewpoint. This is translated as "perspectivism." In the early 18th century, Leibniz preached "Monadism," in which he claimed that every monad reflects the whole world within itself from its own viewpoint according to its own capacity for representation.

遠近法に従った絵画において，描かれる風景はつねに画家の視点に相関的であるが，それと同様に世界はつねに特定の視点から特定の見方によってしか見られえないものであり，いかなる視点にも限定されない絶対的な世界認識などはありえないという考え方。〈遠近法主義〉と訳される。18世紀初頭にライプニッツが〈単子論〉を説き，すべての単子(モナド)はそれぞれの視点から，それぞれの表象能力に応じて全世界をおのれのうちに映し出すと主張した。
