[1] 〘名〙① 「あこやだま(阿古屋珠)」の略。※山家集(12C後)下「あこやとるいがひの殻を積みおきて宝の跡を見するなりけり」② 米の粉でつくった、小さなだんごの一種。「あこやだま」の形をしているので、この名がついたという。あこやもち。※言継卿記‐大永七年(1527)三月二一日「あこやにて酒をすすめ候」[2][一] 愛知県半田市付近の古名。[二] 山形市南東部にある千歳山の古い呼び名。ここに生える老松が有名であった。また阿古屋姫の伝説で、歌枕として使われている。阿古耶。※平家(13C前)二「みちのくのあこ屋の松に木がくれていづべき月のいでもやらぬか、といふ歌の心をもて、当国の名所あこ屋の松とは仰せられ候か」[三] 平景清の寵を受けた京都五条坂の遊女。近松門左衛門作「出世景清」や文耕堂・長谷川千四合作「壇浦兜軍記(だんのうらかぶとぐんき)」などに登場する。特に後者の三段目琴責めの場は有名。
