Kasanezuka - A pile of mounds

...Yuten was a high priest who was devoted to the Shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi and Ienobu, as well as Tsunayoshi's mother Keishoin and other members of the Ooku, and was also worshipped by the common people. The benefits of the name Yuten bestowed and his influence on the common people are detailed in the Yuten Daisojo Ekikiki and other documents, but the story of the salvation of the vengeful spirits of the Kasane clan, who became famous through kabuki, is particularly well known (Kasane), and the Kasane mound in the temple grounds is always crowded with pilgrims. Every year on March 1st, a wooden statue of Yuten was brought into Edo Castle, and when leaving the castle after the festival, a kosode (short sleeved kimono) was presented to him (Yureki Zakki)....
