Chŏng Rin-ji (English spelling)

...Korean Yi Dynasty civil servant and scholar. His pen name was Baekju. His pen name was Hakeyejae. He was from Hadong. After passing the literary examination, he was favored by Taejong and Sejong and held important positions. ancestor He played an active role as a staff officer in the seizure of the throne by King Seong-myung, and was given the title of meritorious minister. He was exiled for opposing the publication of Buddhist books at one point, but later rose to the position of Prime Minister. He compiled and published many books, including the Jiping Yoran, the History of Goryeo, and the Zizhi Tongjian Hunyi, and participated in the revision of the calendar system and the establishment of King Sejong's Hunminjeongeum.
