...Tentacles are well developed in otters, seals, sea lions, fur seals, and other animals that dive underwater to search for prey on the bottom, and in walruses, thick, chopstick-like ones grow densely on the upper lip. The beards that grow on the lower jaws of goats and ibex are similar to men's beards, but the skin at the base of the beards has developed scent glands, which apparently greatly increase the area that emits scent. Beards are also found in wildebeests, bearded monkeys, Diana monkeys, and Brazza monkeys, but their relationship to scent glands is unclear.
