…In 1960, FDDrake of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory of the United States followed this idea and observed the solar-like stars Tau Ceti and ε Eridanus, which are relatively close to the Sun, for a total of 150 hours over a period of two months. He named this project Project Ozma after the princess of Oz in the fairy tale by LF Baum (1856-1919). Although the results were negative, this historic exploration project marked the beginning of similar observations of many frequencies and many stars. …

...Then, from the 1960s to the 1970s, various windows were also made in England and France. In America in particular, interest in storefront decoration is so high that the National Window Contractors Association was founded in 1898 by Frank Baum (author of The Wizard of Oz), and even a specialized magazine for the association, The Show Window, was launched. It was not until the 20th century that window displays were introduced to Japan, in 1903, by Toyoizumi Masuzo of Mitsui Gofukuten, who had studied Western display techniques in America and returned to Japan.
