Acetylation [Keiichirou Ogawa] Acetanilide, also known as antifebrin, is a medicine that was created with the development of the chemical industry using coal tar as a raw material at the end of the 19th century. As an inexpensive and relatively powerful antipyretic and analgesic, it was once widely used as a home remedy, especially for relieving headaches and menstrual pain.
