Wattle (English spelling)

Japanese: ワトル(英語表記)wattle
Wattle (English spelling)
It refers to a tree of the legume family, mainly Acacia mollissima Willd. (English name: black wattle), or the tannin extracted from it. When the bark is boiled in hot water and the water is removed, an extract remains. The yield is 30-40%. The tannin content of the extract can reach 70-80%. The Republic of South Africa accounts for almost all of the world's wattle production. Wattle is not only used to tan animal hides, but is also chemically modified and used as an adhesive and reservoir purifier.
